Looking Ahead

"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."
~John Lennon

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!  John and I will be staying home with the cats.  Hopefully, we will be able to stay awake until midnight!

In the past couple of days, I have made a lot of fractals.  I have been in an artistic mood.  I made this fractal yesterday, December 30, 2021.

Two days ago, our new refrigerator was delivered.  The ice maker quit working in the old one.  The previous fridge was here when we moved here.  John said the manufacturer's label said it was made in 2004.  So, it was 17 years old.  It lasted longer than the average life span of refrigerators, so I can't complain.  I hope this new one lasts 20 years!

On Monday, we took Sheba to the vet.  She has been coughing for a while.  The vet checked her heart and said it seems to be healthy.  He said it could be allergies.  However, she did have an ear infection.  He prescribed some ointment to put in her ears once every day until the tube is empty.

I don't really have any resolutions for this new year.  However, I hope to post to this blog more often.  John was superstitious and said that we shouldn't buy anything on January 1st, or we'll be buying too many things all year long.  (It's a myth that he heard when he was a kid.)  I really like folklore though, so it was interesting to learn about that.
